I've been where you are now...

I spent most of my adult life with very low self-esteem. My relationships were poor and I didn't know how to express my emotions in healthy ways. I often felt powerless to speak up and regularly resented other people for treating me badly. I didn't realise it, but I had very limiting and self-depreciating beliefs about myself and I was thinking and speaking to myself in harsh, critical ways.

I was a people-pleaser who found it hard to say no or enforce boundaries. I was unaware that everything I did went through a filter of what other people would think of my choices.

With therapy I learned to value myself. I learned to be my own judge. I learned to like myself for who I am, and exactly as I am. 
I did the hard work of exploring how my own early life experiences had formed my self-beliefs and how these had impacted on my whole life. I experienced being accepted just as I was.... and I learned how to do this for myself.

I learned how to be happy and live a life that feels rich, fulfilling and meaningful.
